Fried prawns recipe

Crispy prawns fritters are lip smacking accompaniments to elaborate lunches and dinners. No lengthy procedures, this prawns recipe is a quick fix guide to making the perfect, crunchy prawn fritters.

prawn starters                                                      Crispy Prawn Fritters

You will need:

Medium sized prawns(cleaned and de-veined) –  1/4 kg
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder – 2 tsp
Black pepper powder(optional) – 1/4 tsp
Fennel seed powder – 2 tsp
Garlic – 25 pods
Lemon – 1/2
Semolina(rawa) – 5 tsp
Salt to taste
Cooking oil – 3 tbsp

Method of preparation

Make a fine paste of garlic pods and fennel seed powder. Add red chilly powder, salt, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, juice of half a lemon to this paste. Marinate cleaned and de-veined prawns with this paste for 15 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan. Roll each prawn in semolina and deep fry till crisp and light brown.
Place the fried prawns on absorbent paper to get rid of excess oil.

Crispy prawn fritters are ready to eat!
